R&T: New Mitsubishi Lancer

Next-generation Mitsubishi Lancer to debut at 2007 Detroit Auto Show. Look for the all-new four-door sports car in January. The wraps will soon be taken off of the next-generation Mitsubishi Lancer. As can be seen in this official sketch from Mitsubishi, the car does look Evo-esque overall, but with a much meaner-looking front fascia thanks to its new headlights and its large opening grille a la Audi. The BMW 3 Series-like crease running down its side also lends a more muscular look then previous iterations.

Between this and the new Outlander Mitsu should start to recover here in the U.S. A pic from Leftlanenews:

The proportions lend itself so well to the upcoming Evo models. It is amazing how a crisis brings out the best in a car company. Mitsu knows their very existence is at stake here.

Concept was designed by a guy from these areas... Bosnia & Herzegovina actually.
