Mercedes-Benz E-Class W211 Picture Thread

Between the S,E,SL,CLS, and GL I'm having a Benz rush right now! Take out that nasty little engine and this E is great too. I thought the climate controls were supposed to be changed, I can't see any difference???

The more pictures I see of this car, the more I like it, makes the pre FL look a bit dated!

Does anyone know when it's going on sale?

The climate control sort of changed, now the previousely optional Thermotronic 4 zone aircon is standard across the range. The old aircon does not have the digital display in the middle.

I Europe I think the date is June 5th. In the U.S. it is mid-July.

Oh, thanks. I wonder if they improved the tactile quality of the interface, one of the E interior's few weakpoints was the feel of some of the switchgear.

The air con nobs and buttons, and those on the COMMAND feels very cheap, and kinda loose. I don't think MB have done anything about it since they look exactly the same as the pre-facelift version.

Yeah that is what I was talking about, it appears that they haven't done anyting about this. A pity on an otherwise stellar car IMO.

The tactile quality of all MB command systems (New S-class excluded), from my experience at least, could use quite a bit of improvement.

Good to hear the thermotronic climate control is now standard though.

I'm looking forward to crawling around this car and perhaps driving it to gauge the depth of improvement over our pre-facelift model.

I absolutely love the family E350, and i am dying to test drive the face lift version. I am still trying to get used to the new front bumper, but i reckon the rear is an improvement.
