Glorious Audi S5 Review

Hello boys and girls,

it was a calm evening here in Lithuania when I received an invitation to a party. I always enjoy parties. Especially when I get an opportunity to test-drive any car that is owned by participants of the party since I usually know all of them. So this time I arrive to the party and this is what I see:

As you can probably imagine my heart started beating much faster
I have NEVER been an Audi fan. I hated everything from A2 to A8. But this year I am surprised in a pleasant way since A5 and R8 have arrived ( I will test-drive R8 in a week or so).
The first thing I did in that party was taking a key of this beast, because I knew that I have 1 hour top before I get drunk

This car is very emotional. And every interaction with this monster gave me a lot of positive energy. I slowly walked closer to it. It has Keyless-Go, so once you touch the door handle door opens. I have to admit, my hand were shaking a bit
I put my foot on the clutch and pressed "Start/Stop" button. Jesus fu***ng christ engine roars as if it belonged to Bugatti or at least Ferrari. Wheel is very easy to turn, pedals feel as if they are extension of your feet. Speedometer shows 300

I was really lucky - I was driving this car on a wide curvy road that is located in the middle of a forest so you will hardly ever meet another car there. Turn by turn I am falling in love with this car. It is so easy to drive yet fast and agressive. It absorbs all the holes in a road very softly, even though the rims are big and stunningly beautiful

This one had Bang & Olufsen sound system in it. God, it sounds amazing. Although I prefer the sound of the engine. Design of the exterior - breathtaking: wide front grill, large rims, large air intakes and GORGEOUS hald LED headlamps

Rear end is not bad either. Lamps look stunning, exhaust sounds like a wild beast chasing its prey.

I would personally choose another color, but the owner wanted to get this car as soon as possible so he just chose silver, because one car which was silver was already being produced when the guy who ordered it cancelled his order. By the way this car will be driven by a 26 year old blonde girl. God, protect her (she just crashed hes Subaru WRX)

The antique car in the backround looks funny here

So here it is, guys. My review is finished. If you have any questions go ahead and ask me. Hope you enjoyed my review.

Re: Glorious Audi S5 Review

Lucky bastard, so the handling extremely accurate?
What needs to be improved other then output for the RS5's price to be justifiable?

Re: Glorious Audi S5 Review

yes, handling is extremely accurate. I was also surprised by the Adaptive Steering System or smth like that. Comparing to BMW and MB it is sportier. When I was driving this S5 at 160km/h steering wheel was very stable and even when i was accelerating more and more steering wheel remained stable and wasn't shaking at all.
RS5 should have a much better gearbox. Gearbox of S5 felt... girlish. It felt like MB CLK: very soft, easy to change gear. For more agressive type of driving it is not really suitable. It seems like the handle can be broken easily if you get too emotioanl when driving. The clutch is a bit too long. You need to press it deep. I would prefer it to be shorter.
Other than that this car is perfect. Just add more output and you get a universal car that is suitable for both everyday use and extreme and agressive driving.

I noticed this effect on AWD cars (or even FWD cars) vs RWD ones. It must be due better traction on front wheels, since torque is applied there (in FWD & AWD case). RWD cars has much more nervous steering wheel in general.

Great review. I'm pleasantly surprised to hear that the exhausts are loud, it's how it should be.

Nice review man and you're truly lucky! Also, I really like the pics. I can honestly say that the studio shots don't do this car any justice. It's so beautiful in IRL pics. Can't wait until it comes here in the states then I'm going to test drive this and 335 in the same day.
