I so wish I could drive an E63 AMG!

Well, if the damn EU, UN and German treehugger politicians have their way, then the next generation E63 AMG etc. will be limited to 130 km/h!

Thanks.

About BMW reviews, you can SEARCH for them using the search function, or you can read my only BMW review, and I was not even the driver!

Re: TESTDRIVE: 2004 Mercedes-Benz E55 AMG (W211)

OMG I love EVERYTHING that AMG makes (except R class) so I congratulate and very envy you, that you had the chance to drive one of the most exciting rides that Mercedes (AMG) makes.

One day ... one day ... maybe an AMG SL on my parking lot ... ahh

Re: TESTDRIVE: 2004 Mercedes-Benz E55 AMG (W211)

I'm sorry I missed this awesome review!

So you got to drive the E55, you're so lucky!!

I agree, it does look awesome in black, and from what you have written, the engine sounds hugely powerful, as expected!

Thanks for the review!

There's no 6th gear since it's a 5-speed automatic only.

Re: TESTDRIVE: 2004 Mercedes-Benz E55 AMG (W211)

Ahh...you lucky bastard you! This E55 in my eyes is definitely going to become a classic. While the E63 has that edgy look and feel, there is something very elegant about the E55 that I love.

The Vague Feel of the steering thing I've heard before. I guess they made it a little too "everyone" friendly. But this seems to have been corrected with the E63.

The steering was light but responsive. The facelifted E-Class I drove feels sportier than the original W211 hence the E63 AMG also must have a tighter steering response.
