Speculation: Maybach 62 Landaulet ![]() Partly soft-top convertible The usually well informed AutoTelegraaf.nl released a short article today about the upcoming Middle East International Motor Show (MEIMS) in Dubai and that Maybach is planning to debut a brand new Maybach 62 Landaulet there. The ' - ONLY REGISTERED AND ACTIVATED USERS CAN SEE ALL LINKS - CLICK HERE TO REGISTER' was made popular in the '20s and '30s and was basicly a fixed soft-top roof instead of a metal one. The 'landaulet' has a fixed soft-top roof from the A-pillar to the B-pillar (covering the driver) and becomes a retractable soft-top from the B-pillar to the rear. The Maybach 62 Landaulet will be limited to 20 units and seems to be aimed mainly at the superrich in the United Arab Emirates. The 62 Landaulet will be launched on 13 November during the MEIMS press day and on show from 14 until 18 November during the public days. Attached is a Maybach Cabrio computer rendering. The Maybach 62 Landaulet will most likely look nothing like the image. Source WCF: - ONLY REGISTERED AND ACTIVATED USERS CAN SEE ALL LINKS - CLICK HERE TO REGISTER ![]()

Re: Speculation: Maybach 62 Landaulet AMS also speculated about a Maybach 62 Landaulet. It should be limited to 20 and the rear windows will be static - so you can only open the roof at the back. It's more like a Targa then a convertible!

Re: Speculation: Maybach 62 Landaulet This sounds like a really fascinating car. I can't wait to see it, I wonder if the opening part of the roof will be a soft top or a folding hard top.

Re: Speculation: Maybach 62 Landaulet A soft top of course, a hardtop would be way too big and cost way to much. I wonder about the structural rigidity though. I guess Maybach has to do whatever they can to keep this car selling so they're aiming it to the people who print money. M

Re: Speculation: Maybach 62 Landaulet For the survival of the brand I pray that the car has the same styling as the 57S, or else it will look like crap. Some new new minor deisgn elements are also very welcome.

Re: Speculation: Maybach 62 Landaulet Yes, Landaulet and minor facelift... The Landaulet is a brilliant idea, it is exclusive, reminds of the 30's, is unique. And could have success among African leaders... ![]()

Re: Speculation: Maybach 62 Landaulet Maybe this is something people in this class are looking for: more individuality. A Maybach that looks different from the standard Maybach.
