TORRANCE, Calif. — Lexus has announced that its third-generation luxury-SUV flagship, the 2008 LX 570, will be priced at $73,800. The price does not include a $765 destination charge. The 2007 LX 470 was priced at $67,395.

The all-new LX 570 has a new 383-horsepower 5.7-liter V8 paired with a sequential-shift six-speed automatic transmission. Tech features include Crawl Control that regulates throttle and braking, "allowing the driver to focus more on steering" over rough terrain; four-wheel active height control and an adaptive variable suspension.

Intuitive Park Assist and Active Front Headrests, as well as an optional Pre-Collision System with radar cruise control, add to the Lexus' safety features. On the SUV front, the LX 570 has an 8,500-pound towing capacity.

An all-new option for the Lexus SUV is Mark Levinson Reference Surround, an over-the-top high-end audio system developed just for Lexus and originally offered on the 2007 LS 460. The Levinson system has 19 speakers and 450 watts — as well as engineering feats called Timbre Accuracy, Timbre Matching and Dynamics to optimize sound quality and create a "seamless 360-degree sound space in which the individual speaker locations seem to disappear."

Are you serious Alex? I'm sorry mate, but I think this is absolutely hideous. 73k for something that ugly man, I'd rather just get the GL or even an escalade. If you really need something big, I'd rather get the escalade EXT.
