Favourite Current Production Lexus?

In light of HighestOfHigh's recent threads and being a Lexus enthusiast myself I thought it would be interesting to see what the majority of German fanatics would vote for as their favourite Lexus. I expect the LS to walk away with the trophy, but I could wrong..

All varations included!

The model lineup:

LS

GS

ES

IS

SC

LX

GX

RX

Re: Favourite Current Production Lexus?

Thanks for answering guys

Like Rudy, the LS is also my choice. Lovely exterior design, admirable interior, great engine options and it has all of the luxury features you could want.

Following the LS my choice would be the IS. After that, the GS.

As for the rest..NO. The ES, SC and RX strike me as particulary ugly. The GX is ok, while the new LX looks rather overdone (particularly around the rear)

Re: Favourite Current Production Lexus?

The IS. I like its interior the most out of Lexus lineup. My biggest problem are the rear lights. IMO the new Lexus models have rear lights that look too "Hyundaish".

The GS takes care of the 5 series, the IS takes care of the 3 series, the ES i guess is aiming for buys inbetween, cars such as the Saab 9-5 the Peugeot 407, the Citroen C6. The ES is just a rebadge Toyota Camry.

My favourite current Lexus is the LS, the GS is a close 2nd. The LS has almost every convient and comfort feature you will ever want or need in a car. From various reviews this car is surpremely refine and it can actually handle when it is pushed.

It took me a while but now i am used to the styling, and i think it is quite nice. I still dont' like the interior styling but at least it doesn't look as cheap as the rest of the range.

Re: Favourite Current Production Lexus?

Youch, looking at those pics I'm reminded why Lexus is such a no-go with me, a lamer if you will. No style or anything looking at that bunch of vehicles.

That said, my favorite Lexus is by far the IS350. Small and fun to drive and their best looking sedan IMO. I really enjoyed throwing it around at the taste of Lexus and for some reason I really dig the interior. The LS460L would be the runner up. Then would come the SC430, which I've always found to be interesting car, but it is deeply flawed in so many ways. The Lexus I'd rather walk than drive one is the ES350. It is the very definition of boring.

Re: Favourite Current Production Lexus?

I cannot fault the LS - it's the best designed Lexus to date.

It doesnt help when Lexus happens to take THE worst press shots in the universe. Absolutely terrible.
