Lamborghini SUV heading for production.

It's built some of the world's finest supercars - but now Lamborghini is going back to its roots with an astonishing 4x4, exclusively revealed in this week's mag.

The Italian giant is no stranger to all-wheel-drive vehicles - company founder Ferrucio Lamborghini started out building tractors - but its next new model won't necessarily be a racer. Enthusiasts of the brand might have expected a four-seater to rival the Ferrari Scaglietti, but it looks as though a luxury off-roader is on track instead.

Lambo president Stephan Winklemann told Auto Express: "There is more need for an SUV, and parent firm Audi produces the Q7, so for me, this is a better option than a 2+2. I would like to do more, but we are a small company and can't build all the models we want at once."

Re: Lamborghini SUV heading for production.

Ugh enough with this crap already. Build a better sports car and then some stupid truck. I love the "back to its roots" reference, as if the LM002 is the root of Lamborghini and what they're all about.

Lamboghini never stopped making tractors. See - ONLY REGISTERED AND ACTIVATED USERS CAN SEE ALL LINKS - CLICK HERE TO REGISTER.
The tractor business is not owned by Audi, though.

Re: Lamborghini SUV heading for production.

Nothing better than a telenovela on a controversial plan, in order to stimulate interest and to help the leadership to decide if it is worth the pain to produce the new Lamborghini Miura ("sacrilegio!", "clone of the old one!", "maestria reincarnativa of De' Silva").

To setttimana beginning the answer was not, hour touches to Express Car to open a new small opening of hope... as we know, situated English is not infallible R-with regard to the advances, but in this case the indiscretions would derive from a chat with the leadership, that it spaced from the Miura to the SUV.

To how much it seems, Lamborghini has been so overflowed from demands R-with regard to the Miura Concept that hour would be taking in consideration one production in limited series.

Interesting the declarations of Winkelmann (TO Lamborghini) to English: "there is more need than a SUV [ n.d.r.?!?!?] and the parent company Audios produces the Q7, therefore for me this is one option better than one 2+2. It would appeal to to make to me more, but we are one small company and we cannot immediately construct all the models that we want."

In the photo up, the advance of Autobild on the possible Lambo-SUV, the LM 00x.

Re: Lamborghini SUV heading for production.

So they have decided to go along with the project huh? I guess we can't whine about it since they have produced an SUV before. The probably couldn't stand watching Porsche making money of something that they can produce themselves. Hopefully the car will be hot and perfectly proportioned. May god forbid that it will have a Q7 interior.
