Yes, the old SC (Toyota Soarer in Japan I believe) was a much cooler design. Everytime I see an SC430, which isn't often, I always get the feeling that it was rushed into production.

It's like the folks at Lexus hurried it up so they could have "something to compete against the SL". Hopefully the next generation will look better. Lexus has already demonstrated that they can design nice cars (new GS and LS, not crazy about the IS).

From a marketing POV, that's kind of cheesy and dare I say a little bit "risky". You're running the risk of confusing consumers. I'm sure Lexus figured that penguins mean snow and ice and therefore the AWD message would come across easier. Still, there are better ways of doing an AWD GS ad. Like simply having the car parked in a wintery setting for example with people dressed like Eskimo's next to it.

He loved the comfort he brang him at all times, especially on the highway. So as it stands, for a pure luxury car i'm going with the LS460, for something that mixes luxury and sport i'd either go with a E63 AMG or a B7 RS4

P.S. I'm glad to see my thread get lots of replies, thanks guys!
I understand.

Re: Lexus Picture Thread

Some new stuff for the LS460. BTW, i saw my first LS460 last weekend at Calgary of Lexus, at the time they only had a silver LS460L, it looks brilliant! Saw a black LS460 at Lexus yesterday, even in darker colours in brings out the shape.

I'll post some interior shots later today

SC430 has no change against the mighty SL.

The biggest problem for me about the Lexus sedans is that they look too much like hatchback, not truly sedans.

Lol

I don't see it quite as much as you

I see more similarties with the S-Class and 7er, but overall i think all three vehicles have different characters.
