Re: [scans] AMS - M6 vs Gallardo vs Z06 vs 997 TT

You know the M6 is nice and props to it for winning this competition, but I couldnt see me buying this car over the tt or the gallardo. I mean there is so much more prestige and genuine athleticism in the porsche and lambo that i honestly think is absent from the M6. The m6 might be the most practical but honestly thats not why we buy these cars anyway-wheres the F-430 and R8?

I don't think the R8 was out when they did this test, but I do agree with you. Where the hell is F-430? I mean c'mon that deserves to be tested as well, especially against these cars.

Re: [scans] AMS - M6 vs Gallardo vs Z06 vs 997 TT

Wow im really confused about the M6 and 997TT
the Gallardo is almost 2ice the ZO6 price
I must admit it looks more slick though
looks slickest here
Since the F430 is not here
how much does it cost in europe?

I agree with Matt. The M6 is less 'exclusive' because of its dilution with the 630i and 650i - the Gallardo and 997 Turbo are more upmarket if you look at it from this point of view.

Also the engine in 997TT is more noticable. In fact this is the first time I read in a carmag that 997TT is more comfortable than a M6. If I wanted to do a long-distance, M6 is my choice (and not because its a larger car).
If AMS like the comfort so much they should have placed the 997TT on first place and not the M6.

However I see that M6 scored better than 997TT in seat comfort front and back and suspension (beladen) same points to TT as M6. Total score in driving comfort (Fahrcomfort) for M6 is 78 p and 72 p to TT.

I'm a little bit confused by AMS rating.
I don't quite get them either, but they said the Porsche is slightly more comfy than the BMW. Both are obviously ahead of the ZO6 and Gallardo in that field, but the BMW wins in overall comfort because it has the larger interior space according to AMS.

Don't focus too much on comfort. None of these cars here is in Maybach territory when it comes to comfort.

And it shouldn't be! Especially concerning M6! If i want a comfortably 6er, i'd get myself a Individual 650i and that's it! But this is the M, and with M, i don't care about comfort at all!

That Z06 is really a monster...it's a rocket!!

I Really wish that BMW can finally make Z9/Z8/Z6 or whatever the name is...so they can really have a real "hot supercar"..

M6 is fast as hell...but it's a GT unlike 911tt,zo6,etc
