Personally no, but as a passenger. I do recall the back seat space pretty tight

That's exactly the reason why i bought Mean MF with Twin Turbo From Munich!!! (as you can see, it's all about that magic letter M)

We have a forum member on Carspin (IFCAR is his name) who spends most of his time writing reviews for his website.

He said that the Lexus GS is one of the "worst" cars in its class because of the poor interior space, poor brakes and despite being marketed as a sports sedan, poor handling. I'm thinking: Isn't this is a bit bold?

At that Lexus show, I did notice that the Lexus GS, as sweet a ride as it may be, is very cramped.

I would kind of doubt it as one of the "worst" vehicles in the class because i really do think the GS is a great car, but it really does have a big issue when it comes to the interior space and that's a shame

Especially as the SC model line has amazing egronomics, sure there wasn't a lot of space, but they made it as if it felt like that..you know what i mean

The brakes i could believe very much are pretty poor, they weren't exactly that great on my dad's 98 GS400, they often got weak, with the pedal sinking in..for no real reason at all..

The handling..well we never got it up to the hard speeds to feel how the handling behaved..My dad's 98 GS400 was actually pretty good in that respect..

Here in Europe, the IS and GS have been criticized for poor brakes. No word on the LS yet though.

Well, all that Lexus needs to really succeed in Europe is to offer more engine choices, different trim levels ranging from cheap to expensive and better driving dynamics.

...and even if they offer all of that, i won't buy any of their cars... As long as my beloved Germans are producing cars...

Why? Very simple: i'm buying the car from people that invented it, not from those who copy...

Yeah, yeah, i'm smelling a lot of negative replies on this one...

I was actually interested by what you said about the LS, so i went to compare Road & Track's figures for both the S550 and the LS460

From 60mph

S550: 130ft
LS460: 143ft

From 80mph

S550: 229ft
LS460:251ft

So there you go, the LS460 doesn't brake as well as the S550..

I wonder how it compares to the A8, Phaeton and etc. I'll go dig those figures and get back

Yep, 100% agreed As for the North American market, they don't really have any problems there, maybe selling Lexus' in Europe is just a low priority for them

Yeah, yeah, i'm smelling a lot of negative replies on this one...

The only Lexus I would ever consider is the new GS, but I'd still the E-Class or Audi A6 over that.

I'm a passionate Mercedes-Benz fan and I love the brand because of the history and passion behind it. With Lexus, there is no passion so to speak off because they were created by Toyota: they didn't have to "survive, fight and innovate" like Mercedes had to in the late 19th century and early 20th century.

A Lexus to me is a well-built, well-equipped car, but nothing more. It doesn't stand for anything yet like the German brands do (or the British, heck even Cadillac and Lincoln stand for something).

Again, no offense, Bruce.
