Best New Coupe for 2007 Pick your favorite new coupe for 2007, explain why someone shopping in this market should pick it over the rest of the field. Give atleast 1 negative about the models you didn't choose!

Re: Best New Coupe for 2007 The R8's interior and overall enticing package seals the deal. If Jag had made a better interior for the XKR, it would have won my heart.

Re: Best New Coupe for 2007 The new M3 will wipe the floor with every other car in this list.... ...and I wasn't aware there is a new model CLK (because there is not, so that car doesn't count) The M3 will kill the R8, and I cannot wait ![]() The legend returns in 2007 ![]() R8, nice design but underpowered and very heavy XKR, beautiful but very cheap interior without any high tech gadgets CLK, old model and very, very expensive.

Re: Best New Coupe for 2007 I'm already wowed by the 335, so I expect the next M3 to seriously mop the floor. I'm not one to get into crazy car vs car superlatives, but I think the new M3 will actually warrent the hype. I think the excitment over the new XK has already lost steam. The R is a veritable also-ran in this field. Nod to the R8 - it went into production. I hope the investment pans out, because Audi needs more buzz surrounding its name.

Re: Best New Coupe for 2007 In all honesty dude, i think your poll is a little screwed up CLK DTM Firstly the CLK DTM coupe isn't being produced anymore and it pretty much qualifies as a 2006 (maybe even 2005) model, as a result i feel the CLK63 AMG would have been a better match. Even in that case, the CLK would not be my choice, mostly because of it's some what aging design and chassis. M3 No doubt it'll be amazing but i can not vote for it yet...it's not out XKR I know many people had high expectations of the XKR when it went on the Nurburgring but i personally never believed it would be the agile and sports car Jaguar claimed it would be The exterior i don't mind and compared to the last XKR this new 2007 version is certaintly better, but the interior in my opinion isn't that greatR8 As an overall choice the R8 is my choice for the best new coupe and for a number of reasons. The exterior is a really nice design with supercar like lines and traces of Audi concept cars. The interior is certaintly nothing to complain about, it's well built and good looking. Lastly, the 4.2 V8 already proved to be a superb engine in the RS4, it will no doubt be amazing in the R8. ![]()

Re: Best New Coupe for 2007 I voted the M3...Not only because I really really want it...but because it is the most awaited coupe by the whole automotive world. Everyone wants to know what the new beast from ///M is going to do. ![]()

Re: Best New Coupe for 2007 My vote goes to the new M3 for obvious reasons Anyway: 1. CLK - DTM: Never liked this car. A normal CLK is a beautifull car, but the DTM one is way too much. Not like a Mercedes should be, since it's against their philosophy. A Mercedes has always been a fast and luxurious cruiser, and not a hard-core racecars maker. 2. R8. Never been a fan of such cars. They just don't work for me. I don't deny that it is ugly or badly built, but it's a matter of taste. I wouldn't vote for such a car even if it had the BMW badge on its hood. Sorry Audi fans 3. XKR. I have many complains about it. It should have more and better engines, not to mention the design, that has more Ford elements than ever. The front lights are terrible and the only thing that is ok is the interior. NO 4. M3: The most expected. Carrys a big name with much history and successful past. Blah, blah, blah. We all know that it will be the best! BTW, shouldn't the R8 be in the best coupe of 2006 list, and not 2007? ![]()

Re: Best New Coupe for 2007 I think your poll title should read: Best New SPORTS Coupe for 2007. The title is so generic. This could include anything from the newest Mercedes-Benz CL-Class to a facelifted Toyota Solara coupe.
