Black and White luxury Well here they are, the two giants in the luxury market. We have discussed them so many times now, a poll is just not necessary. I love both these cars for different reasons. I have to admit, the Maybach has grown on me over the past year, I really like the new 62 S -- it is pointless, as Luwalira said in a different thread, but who cares, so are many of the greatest things in life. The Phantom is an incredible car, it is not particularly pretty, but neither is the Maybach, but few other cars can beat the Phantom for sheer, show-stopping, presence. I would be happy to own either one of these giants, but I would insist on privacy glass because I would feel slightly self-conscious, embarrassed even, to be seen in such shameless monuments to conspicuous consumption. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Re: Black and White luxury I think these black and white interiors look pretty good on the Phantom and Maybach (Klavierlack I believe that trim level is called in German). ![]()

Re: Black and White luxury Great looking interiors on those cars. Funny - I was eating Thanksgiving dinner at an upscale restaurant with my family tonight. Before leaving, a group had me take their photo, then they hopped into a black Phantom. Despite being car illiterate, most of my family were in awe of the thing. I think its the cumulative of the Phantom's size, suicide doors and obtuse Britishness. Come think, Rolls will probably be the only authentic "old world style" super-luxury cars around once the Bentley Azure and Arnage get overhauled (please get me if I'm wrong).
