I don't know why they're still using the old 2.5L 5-cylinder engine in the Rabbit, it produces the same power as a 2.0FSI 4-cylinder...

Nevertheless, one up for VW.

Old engine... LOL! You have to remember that dumping old engines in the North American market is VW's long running practice. For us, this engine was introduced when the Jetta came out, which is not long ago (2005).

Note that base models of MK.IV Golfs/Jetta still used the old 2.0L 8V petrol engine up until 2005!!!! That's an engine from the late 80s!
