OK, OK:

F1 vs. WRC, WTCC, FIA GT, NASCAR, ChampCar, Indy, etc.

Have your say.

In Formula 1 the bad point are lack of overtaking. We need slick tyres and perhaps active suspensions back to move the task of providing grip not just to aerodynamics, like today.

Than we should see more overtakings.

Let's just say i doubt that.
In handling capabilities an F1 is probably unmatched, in the task of actually handling it as a driver, the go-cat wins.

Hmmm...I didn't know this thread existed...

While I love to watch F1, it's not my favourite. It's just not the same, anymore. I began watching F1 back in the mid-80's...I think my interest began to wane a bit in the late 90's, as teams were dropping off like flies.

I enjoy watching sportscar racing much more...especially, Le Mans, ALMS, LMS, FIA GT, et al. The traffic that's created by having more than one class on the track, simultaneously, is fantastic.

WRC is pretty cool, as well, for entirely different reasons. Clearly, there's no passing (generally, anyway), but that doesn't matter. Being able to master the different driving conditions (ice, snow, gravel, mud, tarmac, etc.) is just too cool.

I'll go for the WRC. The skill required to drive those cars on the terrain they drive is just amazing. Much respect!
