Autobild: S3, R32, OPC, MPS, 130i, Focus ST

Result:
BMW 130i none goes past in this comparison. The reasons for the test victory are in the perfect handling, in the rear propulsion and in the cream engine: The Reihensechser gets 265 HP and 315 Nm torque from three litres capacity. With as much steam is well smoke character give.

First place. Without DSC the BMW tail can be persuaded willingly to drift and caught just as problem-free again.

You sit very good here

The second place of the Sechservergleichs goes to the VOLKSWAGEN gulf R32. The Wolfsburger pleases with its all-wheel drive, the knackigen handling and the second six cylinder in the test.

Audis compact running horse S3 lands at the third place. As is the case for the R32 the all-wheel drive and the knackige driving fashion please also here.

But, it was expected. The 1er is by far the best car in it's class.

Wow, that S3 is blisteringly quick. 0-100km/h in 6.2 seconds? Seriously quick stuff.

Congrats to the 130i, but in a performance test, it's inevitably going to be the pick of the bunch. From an overall perspective, less so. Overall, I really like the Audi S3 and the Mazda 3 MPS.

You probably erased from your memory when it lost in Top Gear, Fifth Gear and Autocar magazine from Golf R32 but you are lucky that i 'm here to remind you.

That said i would still take the S3 cause it looks fantastic and drives better than 130i in everyday conditions (sorry but noone drives all day inside a track).

thats true thats why 130i is my choice, works on the track and on the streets.
I driven two different 130i, one without sportpackage and one with the sportpackage. The ride is bumpier with the sportpackage but It would still be my choice. A normal 130i is too soft for me, let the girls drive a normal 130i, Im tough and laid towards sport

I think that most journalists have said that they would stay away from the sportpackage in 130i. That means that you are really tough.

Nice comparsion Andreas.

My personal choice: I really like the Focus ST and the S3, but in the end i'd probably go with the BMW 130i. I do prefer the styling of the S3, but the 130i isn't exactly a chipmunk Superb straight 6 and a tight, sporty chassis is a perfect combo.

Yeah, but it (130i) has a better time on Sport-Auto's Hockenheim test, now on Autobild, and just wait for the Sport-Auto Nurburgring test, were it's going to butcher the R32/S3 (well considering the Road & Track 130i test (8:35) vs the Sport Auto Golf V R32 (8:49) it already has, but it's not apples on apples, so we'll wait).
