I hate American car magazines. They are all full of boring rubbish. "Lateral G", "Quarter Mile", "It's the cheapest. So it's the best car".

Anyone remeber that preposterous "Car and Driver" comparo, with the STS-V vs CLS55 AMG VS M5. The CLS was overall the better car than the STS-V, but, in the end they gave the 2nd place to the STS-V, because the Cadillac is cheaper than the Mercedes. How lamely pathetic is that?!

GM fanboys will rejoice, because their precious Vette won over a Porsche. But what they don't know, and they don't want to know. Comparing a ZO6 with a Carrera S is not exactly fair enough.

I want to see how the new 997 Turbo stacks up against the ZO6.

We might be talking about the Porsche 911 Turbo but you guys are forgetting about the price! This 911 Carrera already has a as tested $20,000 premium
over the ZO6. The 911 Turbo is out of the question..

The Corvette ZO6 might be the best value for the dollar "supercar" out there right now!

Price does have to come into it, it's not far comparing a, for example a Z06 to a Zonda and not talking about price. People aren't made of money!

Well the Vette is subjected to import taxes and engine capacity here in Europe + other taxes. That's why it costs between 120 000 to 200 000 USD across Europe. And let's not forget the lack of dealers (Chevy = Daewoo here, not Vette) and lack of services, witch makes insurance and repair costs a pain in the neck.

It is a great car nevertheless, but sadly europe isn't USA.
