It's not a comparison. It's a popularity poll. There can't be a winner just an indication of popular dreams and desires based on two extremely exciting models from two fantastic Stuttgart manufacturers.

This is such a cool poll, it's bordering on art.

You didn't understand what i mean, the Turbo is more powerful but GT3 is more hardcore, and IMO Ultra Tuned NA engines are much more Noble and pleasant
than turbo engines.

Re: New beasts - Sport vs Luxury

Well this is a simple one, I'll take the Turbo and wait for the new M3 CSL.
BTW, is it just me or does 997 Turbo bares some resemblance to the 959 ?!

Definately the 911 Turbo, the best supercar out there by far, IMO!

Re: New beasts - Sport vs Luxury

I will say again that the GT3 is obviously the purest driver's car of the four. Porsche just knows its stuff when it comes to NA engines (Carrera S, GT3, Carrera GT) as well as turbocharged ones (GT2, etc.). Consider the fact that the 2004 version of the 996 GT3 was on-par with a 2000 Turbo in a straight line with a power deficit of 35 and 128 less lb-ft of torque as just interesting facts. Obviously the gap between the two cars will be a little wider for the 997 iterations, but I don't think the difference will be as much as some of you may think. Another astonishing fact is that the new GT3 has 415 hp DIN while the original 2000 996 Turbo had 415 hp SAE (420 hp DIN); how's that for progress?

I know a lot of you choose the Turbo because it's more practical and a better all-around use vehicle.

About the supercar comment, I remember the thread we had on what the term actually meant, but I'd just like to say labeling the new Turbo as a supercar devalues the term.
