modified 7Gtranny the CLS63 is going to kick tail, I can`t wait!
Remember AMG modified means the 7G shifts 35% faster than the normal 7G.
Yes, the E63 will be slightly faster than M5 but not by much and certainly not much enough for me to pay the extra cash to get a E63 over M5.
Besides, they drive is totally different and a few more ponnies wont change a fact like that.

Re: Motortrend: M5 vs CLS55

We really can`t make a judgement yet. We really don`t know if it`s going to be that more expensive than the 55 and I`m sure the performance will be enhanced. MBs` not going to just drop the 6.3liter in the 55s body
there will be some other updates.

AMG always cost more than M's at least in Sweden and since I live in Sweden I have to go with the prices here.

Like Catwimmer said, "The CLS55 retains AMG values of a powerful cruising machine with Mercedes core values".

I love both cars, but when it comes to looks, give me the CLS anyday. Who cares about headroom in the back when you're the one driving?

GTA, you still getting a CLS?

I do since I have a long way to my work plus we are 4 more people in the car so yes I care. If I didnt care I would choose M6 since its faster and handles better than both M5 and CLS55.

I guess this means expence to you.
Core values means a design commitment. BMW also has core values.

He didnt talk about design, also those enchances wont help cause M5 was build around sport first then luxury. Also I remember when CLS55 came, MB people said it would handle better than the M5 and it didnt happen and if we add M6 the different is even larger. No, those enchances wont help and if it by a miracle do help than BMW can enchance the M5/M6's as well. M will still remain the ultimate driving experience in this class cause that their core values
