Im sure its a good car and all but first I dont like the design and second its only offered in automaticgearbox and third the car isnt racing inspired as a M car. If someone gave me a CLS55 I wouldnt say no but then again who would say no if someone offered you a M5

IMO every mercedes drives like rubbish..yes every mercedes (the best of all this rubish being the sl 55)...only current mercedes i HAVEN'T DRIVEN ARE the SLR, slk and the M-class and i'm quite confident the latter is also rubbish because it looks the part... BMW's on the other hand are for those who have the passion of driving cars....its not just about going to the grocery store or the bank...its about how you get there and how long it takes to come back ...IMO in a mercedes like Audi's you don't care about the voyage...but in a BMW you make excuses for not going home

So for those who like a car merely for its looks(even though the cls is one of the uggliest mercedes) go ahead get the CLS....but those who buy an ///M5 buy it to make every drive an event.

I wouldnt say MB drives like rubbish but the driving experience isnt there like in M cars. I drove the E55, a great crusier and a comfortable one but the driving experience is missing, also Im not into automatic cars. But saying they drive like rubbish, that I can't agree with But to each is own

I went extreme with rubbish but there are just to many flaws in mecedes cars...especially brake by wire...that is the dumbest thing ever...their is no brake feel...

lOl MoSs! Anyway from the looks of tis article I still say the M5 is not a 0.5ths
better in performance than the CLS55, other than speeds higher than 100mph. The numbers prove that.

I`d wait for the CLS63, with a supposed 515hp mated with the AMG
modified 7Gtranny the CLS63 is going to kick tail, I can`t wait!
Remember AMG modified means the 7G shifts 35% faster than the normal 7G.

but the 63 AMG engines lose the torque advantage that they had over others...i woulnd't be suprised to see 0-60 times decrease but 1/4 mile will probably increase

Well the SLK55 has 50lb-ft less torque than the Chevy Corvette and weighs
about 200lbs more but it`s just as fast as the C6 Corvette. I think we can expect the same of the CLS63. It should be better.
