It really depends on the drivers, the cars/bikes, and the tracks. I was under the impression that cars were quicker than bikes around most race tracks.

It's not exactly scientific since they race at the same time (I don't think I'd be able to push as hard on the bike with the car around), but the video is at least entertaining.
