Re: Cars that did or did not impress me....

Ok, you guys finished the BMW adoration yet? j/k

Hey JM, respect for a BMW fan to say that no current BMW looks as good as the SL. Though you were always one of the reasonable ones

Anyhow, that's my fear with the SL and CL. I can barely see how the next CL will look better - I was driving on the road today and was passed by a CL, a pre-FL one even. The shape is just so sleek, elegant and powerful. From what the spy shots have shown, the next one isn't going to be nearly as good looking, even though it might look good enough in its own right.

The next SL will probably be the same story - not quite as good looking. Too bad.

Re: Cars that did or did not impress me....

The SL has a "dream car" appeal and it's impossible not to like it. It's currently the best looking car amongst BMW, MB and Audi. For you information the SL designer is right now working for Porsche so hopefully the Panamera will look great too.

lol I better delete my previous post, I have a reputation you know
Seriosly, although I talk a lot about BMW I'm not blind. I'm a car enthusiast which mean I like all kind of cars. I would be a fool if only liked BMW. So many cars outthere and if I was filthy rich, my garage wouldnt only contain bimmers. That's for sure

Also I cant see the next SL to be as goodlooking as current SL. Its hard to improve something perfect.

Re: Cars that did or did not impress me....

the cls 55 AMG is a very handsome car , compared to the E-class its far more elegant ,and much better qualty ,,, even a stock cls 500 is a beautifull car 2 IMO ,,, I saw a dark red one (or i dont know what its called ) parked out side the mall last week and it really took my attention , im telling ya , i wish i had my camera , i would of took pictures ... anyways maybe its a bit over priced , but IMO the car really desirves .. so i dont agree with u on the cls 55 amg

about the m6 and m5 ,,, tho i dont like the looks of the 5 series , the m5 is good enough , but i totally dont agree with u ,maybe its just me who thinks like that but the m6 is much nicer ...

CGT :it didnt impress me atall , i just looked at it for a sec and turned my face , its kinda like boring ,or maybe it looks better when its moving .. hehe

i agree with u with some others like the SL 65 AMG , the 997 Carrerra 4s , and the Ferrari 612 ...

Moss I respect your opinion but to me E-class is more elegant than CLS.

I noticed you've been gone for a few days, welcome back mate.

Re: Cars that did or did not impress me....

The fit and finish on the CLS just wasnt there. It had rubber hanging off the door and it was way too low to the ground. The interior was shabby, the dash was ugly and the rear seats lack head room. I just dont like the car. Even the looks are somewhat repulsive. I like the performance but I think in terms of style the E class is a better looking car.

I agree that the Sl and CL have something in them that makes them look majestic. Keep in mind that these cars are actually quite old, yet they stood the test of time. The CL is the most desirable Benz out there right now for me.
For some reason though, from the chops that I have seen, I'm extremely optimistic about the new CL. It actually caught my attention, much more so than the S-class. This is going to be a brilliant car.
