Re: Cars that did or did not impress me....

Can you imagine, I've seen the CGT here in SA! Now whoop dee doo most of you'll be saying but it's quite a significant thing y'see... New LHD cars aren't permitted to be sold down here (we drive on the left-hand side of the road) so it's generally unlikely that we ever get to see Enzo, SLR, CGT and even Veyron down here as they're only available in LHD.

Hey hey, but Porsche Centre SA did us a big favour and brought in a CGT as a demonstrator. So I can say, at last, that I've seen one. Gosh, it's big!

I feel that whilst the SLR is the more classically beautiful of the two, the CGT is still pretty dramatic looking in the metal.

SLR is a nicely dressed up MB, imo. Don't get me wrong, it's super beautiful car, but the CGT is ultimate, raw and unbeatable in every possible way!

Enzo? Don't get me started about that one...

They still have to cut off their fat, the arnage.

NEVER! Then all you'd have is a bunch of wannabe Bentleys (VW's in drag).

I was relatively unamazed by the CLS too when I first saw one close-up (Sorry Marcus).

Thats it! I'm going to speak to the head of the Mercedes fan club about your membership...lol!!! To tell you the truth the CLS is to be seen on the road and/or in a less crowded setting. People getting in and out and it being so low to the ground don't help the desgin when viewed like that. Stunning car IMO. My favorite Mercedes at the moment!

I still have problems with the CLS, although I seen it many times. The interior is nice looking so is the rear but the profile and particulary the front dont look good at all. SL still my favorite Benz, I see SL almost everyday but still it remain its beauty. I totally love it. In fact there is no BMW that look as good as the SL.

I agree the SL is a beaut, I've forgotten about it a little over the past year or so with the CLS and pending CL.

Just_me: well even though am MB fan .. but I still think that Z8 is much better looking than the current SL .. it is more "timeless" ... but it is missing the technological advance of the SL ..

hmm I said it before so its not a newsflash But you also know design dont comes first to me therefore there are many other cars I would buy instead But like I said about SL and its design: - the perfect ten

and about the SL Im not sure the new one will look better. My biggest fear about SL.
