HAHA okay so if you say then its okay?
122hp you say.. allright.. 100 for audi wow 22hp..
the car is unecessary if it takes them so long to make it.. release it fast..and by this time have an RS6 then okay.. but obviously these S cars have a effect on the RS cars.. and thats bad..

Audi S6 has 85 hp more than the 4.2Q.....thats more than 35 hp difference...sorry for the pickiness

i was more talkin abou the diffrence from S6 to the coming RS6...

The 550i and E500 should be compared to the 4.2L A6 - (and then I would take the 550i) .

I agree with this post. The Audi would be the first choice because of it`s performance potential. On paper it`s going to be more expensive and will compete with a more performance oriented group of cars.

Yeah... do you even hear yourself?

Imagine is S6 didn't exist. That would leave almost a 200hp difference between the A6 4.2Q and the RS6.

The S6 is a very necessary car for the model line indeed!

the gap from 4.2 to RS6 is huge.. im with you on that..
Do i feel that Audi needs an other modell in beteween.. YES
But does it need to be a S modell wich takes time to make NO
So here are 2 solutions either they make a 5.2l A6 wich shouldnt take as long time to make and could have the same power..
or they up the power for the 4.2..
But i like the first alternative..

The problem that I have with the S6 is that it's just such a spacer car... that's why it's there, to bridge the huge gap between the 4.2 and RS6. The thing I don't like is that instead of having the RS4 engine, they put in a V10 that has had a huge powercut. That just makes no sense to me... and in that sense, I believe the S6 could have been better.

Then again, to cover all sides, how knows how good this detuned V10 is.

I guess Audi just wanted to show that it was capable of making a V10 car like BMW and Mercedes........and V10 just really sounds cool.
