But you are right TT and 1 series coupe shouldn't be compared at all. Much different cars.

Audi TT 2.0 TFSI probably should not be compared with the 120i. That Audi starts at €32,750. 120i 3-door hatch, even with M-Sport package will be €28,700. At the Audi's price bracket, it's best to compare the 130i, €33,500. That gives 265 PS (vs 200), 0-100kmh in 6.0 (vs 6.6), +6mph on the top end, and will do some things the Audi won't. And with less mass over the front wheels (no turbo, no intercooler, magnesium-alloy block), might have better turn-in and responses than the 135i.

You nailed it. For the price, you almost always have good chance of getting more performance with a BMW than an Audi.
