Re: Top Gear: 997 TT vs Skyline GT-R Thanks for the scans, Andreas. Though, you should have made it a poll too! Anyhoo, it would appear this is yet another great praise for the GT-R. This car can do no wrong as far as I'm concerned.

Re: Top Gear: 997 TT vs Skyline GT-R For Europe & UK, yes. This is the release schedule according to Evo magazine: Japan - December 6, 2007 US - mid-2008 Europe - March 2009 So plenty of time for Porsche to develop a response, if they haven't started doing so already. Then there is also the Evo version of the GT-R to consider, which will be a more direct competitor to the Turbo in terms of price.

Re: Top Gear: 997 TT vs Skyline GT-R I've always been a 911 guy, no question, but the GTR puts a whole new spin on things: similar but more advanced trick AWD system, 7 spd DSG, TTV6 with more than sufficient power, understated but sporty looks, probably cheap to run, great handling and all at a fraction of the Porsche's cost. You guys know I'm a value shopper, so without much thought the GTR is the car that gets the nod from me. ![]()
