Re: Autobild: CL65 vs Continental GT Speed

The comparo? Good. The verdict? Retarded. Who the hell tracks their CL65 or their Bentley? Seriously, is there anyone who will chose one car or the other because it's a little faster around some race track in this category of cars? No. So why bother? Sometimes, journalists are idiots.

but still its fun to see a different test for a change. Its boring to see the same standard test after test. This is fun and intresting for a change and I wish we see more of this.
I guess I'm an idiot too since I enjoy these kind of tests.

If you enjoy the tests thats fine. But my problem is with the verdict of choosing one car over the other because of lap times. The track portion should be done just for fun, it shouldn't count in the verdict.

Maybe it should not. It's more than 120 kgs heavier than the previous model...

Re: Autobild: CL65 vs Continental GT Speed

I think they are both very competent cars at what they are meant to do - covering miles in luxury and comfort. I would prefer the Bentley, cause it is more prestigious imo (and surprisingly cheaper).

Re: Autobild: CL65 vs Continental GT Speed

The passion with which some of you guys hate the Bentley seems a little extreme. I'm not the CGT's greatest fan, but I don't the CL is much better looking to be honest. They both look like expensive German cars to me. I would still prefer a 911 any day.

Re: Autobild: CL65 vs Continental GT Speed

Thanks for the great pics, I actually think the CGT looks better, it looks more aggressive with out resorting to race car bumper tricks. Case in point, see how bah the CL looks with out the AMG body kit.

Re: Autobild: CL65 vs Continental GT Speed

It is the CL65 so it has the body kit, no point in posting pictures without it.
