Some people do. I asked myself the same question at that time.

Re: Autobild: CL65 vs Continental GT Speed

Wouldn't the Bentley use its higher unrestricted top speed on the track to pull those 2 secs, i'm sure the 65 would have hit the limiter. Also we are forgetting the the Bentley has AWD which helps a lot on the track.
IMO the lighter and better handling CL63 would massacre the Bentley on the track.

They take it to a football training camp.

Exactly my thoughts, depending on the track the CL65 must have reached the speed limit while the CGT kept on goin, anyway i'd take the CL65 anyday,no brainer for me.

Re: Autobild: CL65 vs Continental GT Speed

I see we discuss the laptimes here. This is a small track and neither of the cars reached their topspeed, in fact the highest speed they reached was 208km/h for CL and 207km/h for the Bentley.

So if we use our brains for a change the topspeed isnt the reason here. I say it thanks to AWD and better traction that the Bentley is the quickest car around the track.

Maybe the CL driver made a quick stop to Mcdonald's pit during his lap

ok i didn't have the benefit of knowing what the track layout was,so i used my brain to come up with two reasons one of which you also believe to be true.

AWD. The CL and S-class are know to be burn out beasts.

4,7 s for the CL? AMS did 4,3 s with the old CL65 AMG with the ESP on!

M

Oh yes, it`s quicker than that!!
Moter Trend got a 0-60 time of 3.8 seconds from the previous CL65 The new one shouldn`t be any different.

It`s overall performance should be better than the previous CL65.
