Re: 2008 Sport Sedans I have so many hours of demonstration laps behind the wheel of a Spec B that I didn't even have to think about it. A very sporty sedan indeed, beautifully balanced, adjustable on the throttle and surprisingly nimble in the tight stuff. Oh, and it's fast too. A true driver's car...

Re: 2008 Sport Sedans I have been wondering about this for a while, Martinbo, do you know the exact torque distribution between the front and the rear of the Liberty. I assume it is 50:50 or 45:55, but I couldn’t find anything solid on the net.

Re: 2008 Sport Sedans Legacy GT gets my vote too. My wife drives the Legacy GT wagon (but the last model) and I love it. The steering is actually more accurate than my M3 right off the center - though over boosted, which kinda kills the fun a bit.

Re: 2008 Sport Sedans I haven't driven an M3 yet but the Legacy's steering is very accurate off centre, I can apply a tiny steering angle and the car will respond straight away, there is no slack at all, and it is very precise. The steering can feel a bit light, but it is relatively heavy compare to other Japanese cars. We need 5 more votes to top this poll dam it.

Monster if I'm not mistaken, Legacy GT manuals are equipped with a viscous coupling type centre differential imparting a 50:50 front to rear torque split. Your car is equipped with an auto tranny, if I recall correctly, and hence the torque split of the VTD planetary centre diff is 45:55 rearwardly biased. Other auto-equipped Subaru's that make use of the Active Torque-split differential have a 60:40 frontwardly biased distribution. | |

Re: 2008 Sport Sedans Legacy followed by the Infiniti. I believe that in these two cars the chassis is best matched with the sporty engine.

Now you mentioned it. the steering does go a little light when accelerating out of a bend, and the steering does suffer from a little kickback. You are correct, mine is an auto (wish i had the manual). Can you actually notice the difference in handling characteristics between the manual and auto? What do you think of the car's high speed stability. I was driving on the highway, as soon as I reach 100km/h and above, the steering felt a bit lighter, I am guessing the front aero lift is starting to take a more noticable effect. Do you have the same experience? Apparently an STi front lip will solve this problem. Quote:
