Re: New E63 vs Pre-owned Bentley Continental GT

he's traditionally driven standard mid ranged benzes/volvos (eclass 230/320, T5s) - wants something special now. In his late 50s and wants to treat himself. The kinda age where his sons & daughters have all graduated and have just standard decent jobs - where there is less to worry about (the Janis song comes to mind..."worked hard all my lifetime no help from my friends blah blah")

I understand they are very different cars but at the end of the day price has to be under 70K (sterling). Its kinda like: here's my budget, what can I do with it.

My uncle, perhaps similar to most 50 plus guys arent going to be throwing these things around corners. A cruiser mainly but nice to know there's alittle bit of power/fun when needed.

Re: New E63 vs Pre-owned Bentley Continental GT

I would also choose the E 63!! It's a great car with a lot of power and comfort. It has more understatement, but is also extremely sporty and like "Luwalira" mentioned you will also get warranty. Nevertheless the E 63 is a car that looks nearly every it goes very good. You can go with the car to a supermarket without cause much sensation and crowds of people around the car!
In my opinion more understatement combined with power only offers Alpina!
So, I would go with the Mercedes.

In that case he should go ahead and buy a Bentley. You only live once.

After reading this, it looks like the "Bentley" is the perfect car for your uncle! I think he should look at both cars, but he will be stunned by the Bentley interior. It's the more comfortable car here and the perfect cruiser with enough power up one's sleeve!
