Re: Inside Line Comparison Test: 2007 Audi RS4 vs. 2008 Lexus IS-F

Mind that today EVERY company is able to produce a supercar, or a M / AMG / RS fighter. Technology is available, knowledge is available, time is available ...

All it takes is ... money! A lot of money.

With a budget high enough even a Ssangyong is able to develop a true M3 killer. But usually the financial figure is just to high to justify such an adventure.

I'm sure Toyota / Lexus has invested A LOT in IS-F & LF-A. Just like Audi did in R8.

And even BMW & eg. MB are capable of developing a car that will top any Porsche or Ferrari. But the R&D would cost a fortune, therefore no CEO would give a green light for such a car ... Except his name is Ferdinand Piech.

I was browsing on Club Lexus yesterday as I wanted to see their forum member opinions on the M3 vs RS4 vs C63 AMG battle and I was amazed at how polite they were. Out of about 20 posts, only 4-5 were somewhat anti-German car. The rest? Polite and appreciative, just the way real car enthusiasts should behave.

Yep, Clublexus is a good forum. Forums such as Car & Driver, Autospies and Edmunds really are unfortunate for us true Lexus enthusiasts. Blah.
