Re: Ultimate 911 Platform

Ohh... This is a toughie.

If you want maxinum power, the obvious thing to do is choose the RT12. Having said that, I think the GT2 has more than enough power as it is; certainly enough for any sane individual. So, my decision is not influenced by the power figures and thus of course leaves the choice between exterior designs.

I prefer the RT12's rear end (particularly it's spoiler arrangement), but prefer the GT2's front end. Can't decide at the moment.

Re: Ultimate 911 Platform

This is a very difficult one. I love the GT2 but have always been a fan of the RUF RT12 and have great respect for it. The performance differences between the cars are very marginal. Raw force and top speed is where the RT12 is better while the GT2 is a tiny bit more agile.

But in the end the RUF is a much more special car and IMO looks amazing. It has an exotic touch to it and is one of the most tastefully designed tuner cars out there. It stands out more than the GT2 is my choice in this battle.

I would prefer a GT3 RS over both.

Mr. Chigga_Chan will become famous soon enough
Re: Ultimate 911 Platform

Wow, tough comparison. I was a fan of the RT-12 when I first saw it on the RUF site. Its engine is a 3.8 instead of the GT2's 3.6, if you could upgrade the GT2 to a 3.8 and keep all the technology, it would probably be a better engine(speculation).

I prefer the overall front and side look of the GT2, but the rear treatment of the RT-12 appeals to me. Its a stalemate right now, both are great representatives of what Porsche 911's can do.

GT2 for me...

In the same way that I'd have an M car over an Alpina. Or an STI over a Prodrive. Straight outta the factory is always my choice.

Re: Ultimate 911 Platform

while the RUF is a rare car and is badass, the GT2 has it beat in most categories except for top speed. The RUF costs almost 100k euros more, I honestly don't think it's worth the price. Give me the GT2 anyday.
