How would you know this without any official numbers? Whats the point? Gee you think that fact a SL55 or SL65 costs way more than a M5 might have something to do with sales volume?

Gallardo costs way more than M5 too but it that didn't stop Lamborghini from selling its 3,000th Gallardo last month. It's the fact that the price of SL and CL 65 AMG is close to more prestigeous cars like F430 that is making the difference in sale volumes.

CL/SL65 is in the same priceleague as Murcielago, not Gallardo.

So what, the Gallardo is the cheapest Lamborghini, you know their entry-level car, not th emost expensive MBs like the SL/CL65. Also, how long did it take for Lambo to sell 3000 Gallardos. Pointless conversation.

Re: FORBES: Best Cars 2005

I agree with most of the selections on this list. Though Forbes is not an Auto Journalist Magazine, the demographic here is probably wealthy Americans.

The W221 Probably wasn't in their pool of cars. I might look at a Porsche over the DB9 as more of a Driver's Car, but there's nothing wrong with the DB9.

Maybe the Phantom over the RR, but the Maybach 62 makes sense.

Thing is like ALL polls, they are innaccurate and the data cannot be taken as fact...

Read closer. It said "Best All-Around Wagon". Power wasn't the number one meter here and if BMW and Audi do not have powerful wagon enough in their line-up, it's their head-ache.

This listing along with its categories is just bad.

Notice how the list is populated by exotic or exciting cars. Cadillac, Infiniti and especially Toyota and Lexus don't really fit that category.

Re: FORBES: Best Cars 2005

Forbes is a trusted source when it comes to business issues, but not really when it comes to cars. The journalist who compiled this list is very inexperienced and knows little about cars- just read his comments regarding his criticism about the 3 Series, he didn't even know it was the benchmark.

Any magazine, whether it be an IT, business, travel or a woman's magazine can compile a list of their most desirable cars. But their judgement would be based little experience. It would be no better than ours.
