EVO: E60 M5 T vs. B7 RS4 Avant

You can watch the video clip of the two from EVO's site here:
http://www.germancarzone.com/sound-v...rs4-avant.html

IRead the review yesterday, it was quite good. They said that the M5 had amazing ability dynamically and performance wise- but only at the top end. The B7 RS4 had better all round ability and made more sense as a sporting machine with it's compact dimensions. It was also quite the tenacious gripper in the corners, while the M5 T liked to oversteer, and did so quite easily. The RS4 Avant's gearbox was also said to be more a delight than the M5 T's SMG tranny- think I've heard enough about SMG now! The end result was the B7 RS4 taking the win; It has far more appeal as an everyday means of transport and does so with fewer gimmicky devices in order to get things moving down the road. The engine was said to be sweeter too.

Re: EVO: E60 M5 T vs. B7 RS4 Avant

With the new A4 coming next year, I'm sure many people will be urging Audi to build the new B8 RS4. But I find the B7 RS4 to be so attractive it's gonna last a long way.

Re: EVO: E60 M5 T vs. B7 RS4 Avant

If you buy a Touring you want to go to A to B fast, with comfort and you also want a lot of space in the trunk and in the seats and if you have friends they travel the best in a M5 T.
I would gladly pick a M5 Sedan or a RS4 Sedan over a Touring and a Avant but between these two, M5 T is my choice becuase a Touring is the best car to transport garbage.
