weak 0-100km/h times from AMS (same as the 150hp version of 120i), there will be better than times than that. Autobild and Autozeitung is next.

Our 1998 Scenic 2.0 is even faster...

***!!! thats slower than the old 150hp 120i (and my Mum's 118i)

hopefully it gets better once the car has been broken in.

where do I find this Autobild test?

Swedish carmags (prefacelifted 120i) with 150hp:

Test 1 (AMS)
0-100km/h in 8.7 sec

Test 2 (also AMS)
0-100km/h in 8.9 sec

Test 3 (another swedish carmag)
0-100km/h in 9.0 sec

On BMWs webpage the new facelifted 120i with 170hp does it in 7.7 seconds. What the heck went wrong with the new 120i. Something must be wrong with the tested 120i in german papers

Nowaym the new 120i is slower than the old.
Also EVO tested the new 120i with 170hp and meassured 0-100km/h in 8.3 seconds, thats more accurate than 9.6 seconds IMO
