I wouldnt excalty call 335 a sportcar becuase its not, its a sporty car. M3 is a sportcar.

Not really surprised, the CLK has come of age and desperately needs an overhaul. btw, When is the new CLK out?

btw, is Merc coming out with any sort of a bi-turbo engine to rival BMW's potent 335 engines?

There was talk in one of the last Autobild's about the Mercedes C400 Biturbo 4Matic. The engine is supposedly a 4-l biturbo V6 with an output of 408-horsepower. No word on the engine since the article mentioned it.

I can't see that, would be way too much overkill. I think we'll see the 3.5L V6 worked up to like 310-320hp either through a light-pressure turbo and/or direct injection. Just my guess. A 4L V6 is too big and wouldn't be all that smooth running.

A non AMG engine in the C class with over 400bhp, no chance! Although thinking about it, in the S class, the S600 and S63 have similar power outputs so it's possible!

I think they will do something with the 3.5L V6!

Again, this is what Autobild claimed. I asked around at the local Mercedes dealership and nobody there had heard anything about this engine being developed. They did tell me to expect a "new" V6 engine soon. I guess that means a reworked 3.5 V6?
