| Re: AMS: BMW X5 4.8i vs. Porsche Cayenne S Thanks! I didn't realize you are all very friendly to new comers. So what made me buy the car? The Porsche salesperson lol... actually it's not just the heat of the moment. I left the Porsche dealership (to go to BMW and get my deposit back) and come back the next day. There was a brand new black turbo cayenne (previous model) displayed, it was so hard to ignore. I checked my wallet and test driven Cayene S and turbo model (both previous model), checked my wallet again, then made up my mind. Still on the same topic, I went for 2.5 hours new model Cayenne test drive on the race track organized by Porsche today. To me it is a new level of car ownership. I feel like I belong to a new group of car passionate people. Surely most Porsche owner is in their mid life due to it's pricing, what I mean is I can now talk more passionately about car to my friends (Porsche owner and collector).. almost feel like tuning to the same radio station LOL! Which one would you choose? |

| Re: AMS: BMW X5 4.8i vs. Porsche Cayenne S Congrats and welcome hazza! Good choice, given the means I'd have chosen the Cayenne too... Bit more dosh but infinitely more prestigious than an X5. Down here every (suitably wealthy) man and his dog has an X5. |

... (ouch..)Cayenne Turbo is 1 notch above these two cars. I believe the cost of owing one comes very close to buy Cayenne V6 and Cayenne V8. I was privileged to drive all the three models on the racetrack yesterday, I can now confidently say the Cayenne Turbo is pretty much an art in motion . If money is no objection, I hear what you're saying! | |
