For such heavy cars with diesel engines, this is NOT high fuel consumption.

What were you expecting, Christian? 4L/100km?

C'mon... This is not a comparo between Polo and Clio you know...

Tycoon, this the official Mercedes-Benz fuel consumption data for a pre-facelift W211 E320 CDI SEDAN (just happened to have the brochure next to me on my desk).

URBAN: 9.4-9.9 L / 100 km

RURAL: 5.4-5.9 L / 100 km

MIX: 6.9-7.3 L / 100 km

I think Eni posted the urban figures, which seem realistic. But I guess I also wanted to see the other results.

Regardless, we're talking about 2 mid-size sedans with 6cyl engines, 3.0L displacement and a turbo. I have nothing against their fuel consumption...

Yes, true, this is still excellent fuel economy for urban settings.
