Yeah I've been noticing this also, really putting the screws to Mercedes in this regard.

Then the test is stupid.

BMW: 8.2L/100km ; MB: 9.8L/100km => MB got "+" for fuel consumption

Except Kokken is wrong, and should be 9.8 for BMW, and 8.2 for MB.

Points for fuel consumtion: BMW 185, MB 165.

Re: AutoZeitung: BMW 530d vs Mercedes E320CDI

btw, am jus curious, is the 535d available at the moment?

Also is Merc planning to come out with some sorta TT diesel engine to rival BMW?? coz BMW are simply outdoing them as far as the TT petrol/diesel engines go.

Re: AutoZeitung: BMW 530d vs Mercedes E320CDI

Remember the test Caw posted a while back, a comparison between X5 and ML and Caw said the ML won but it was the X5 that won.
Caw do make mistakes sometimes, he is to proud to admit it though

I wrote what I remember from the Fazit. They didn't mention fuel economy in the BMW's fazit, but they did in the E320 CDI's. Also, both the fuel consumptions for these cars are extremely HIGH. I mean, both the 530d and E320 CDI should be getting around 6.6-7 L / 100 km! Even less.
