I have to agree with Matt, I have never liked the shape of the CLS, the front headlights are wrong, the profile bends too much. Looking straight from the rear is the best part. When I meet a CLS on the freeway you notice the car directly because it doesnt look like other cars you meet.
I rather be driving a E-class than a CLS.

When I think about it, CLS looks worse than the CL. Compared to CLS, I love the CL.

You guys are ridiculous. Of all the cars in the world that are truly worthy of being "hated", you pick 2 upscale Mercedes-Benzes. I can't think of a single current production German car that I actually "hate". Sure there are some that I don't care much for or that I don't like much, but "the one car you absolutely hate", nothing German comes to mind.

of course there are other cars I dislike but since this is a germanboard I must add CLS and X3 to the hate list. If I search deeper I will find a lot more ugly non-german carmakers than germancars, thats for sure but for now I will focus on the germans.

Oh BTW, I really hate Audi A2 as well.

I would say german made the w203 sport coupe is hideous and the A2 .
And I defenitly hate the Phantom.

Why?
th w203 sc I think is just wrong, proportions, the hatch.Everything. It should have never had a MB badge.
The A2, is just plain ugly.
The Phantom: too big, too dead's person casquet, ugly, loud, too much bling, it should have been done with class and style.

PS: I saw a cl550 a couple of days ago, unimpressive. it was parked so I looked it up from all angles, it's ok, but not nearly as classy as the previous generation. It wasn't the AMG version so well see. It was white btw, and the color made it look tooo bloated and big, I don't know. it was just weird. Same as the new X5, oh brother, at first i thought it was "another" X5 but then i saw the sides and the rear, the side lines are too much, and the rear doesn't tell much at all just like the front. I shall not thrust in pictures any more.

Yea, wouldnt want you to get a paper cut ... Ill be honest, at the first sight(at LA auto), i wasnt impressed with the X5 myself, but after seeing it drive and driving it down to San Diego, I really do like the car. And comparing it to the old X5, the proportions are much better. I took some pictures but I suppose this isnt the thread...

Ahh, gimme a break! You're talking about this car as if it was a French car! There is no need to downplay the CLS that much only because you don't like it.
Well, that would be plain stupid if Porsche made a "boxy" 4 door sedan, instead of a sedan with a rather more aerodynamic shape, like this of the MB CLS.
