This doesn't make the car garbage or that Mercedes is going down the toilet either, per your other posts.

yea, going down the toilet is a bit too much.. but they still need to get their stuff together.

They're doing just that, getting it together...one new model at a time. The S and CL have been a hit, the SL is still holding down the class even though it is now middle-aged. Now comes the new C-Class which has debuted to rave reviews from around the world. So to even suggest that Mercedes hasn't or isn't even trying to get themselves together is just utter nonsense Matt and you know it. Nothing changes overnight and Mercedes had sunk pretty low. It is an ongoing effort that so far shows no signs of faultering.

c-class: combine the both sport and luxury when you want to race use sport mode(if you want to relax you can find it by a button which is not available in 3er)

one more thing is you are using around 70% of 3er sporty driving because if you are driving 100% of sporty driving that's mean you are not driving in a legal street so you don't want that much of sporty driving car but if you are driving 90-95% of c-class sporty drive it will be fine to drive anywhere thats mean in daily sporty driving they will be the same but 3er will be better in a track race

Soooo c-class is better for daily driving sport and luxury car
No, in other colour 3er looks better than C-class, you dont decide what others should think.

and btw, I have no problem driving relaxed in a BMW, I done that for several years, so again you cant decide what good or bad for others.

No, not much I agree with on your post.

Im not so sure that C class is as big of an improvement as you say it is. However only time will tell-we need to wait for consumer reaction and perhaps more long term updates. But by cold hard facts-listed several posts above, it doesnt look good for this new merc.

Really? On what is this based on besides a general anti-MB sentiment. The car has met with the same type of rave reviews that S did over a year ago. The cold hard facts about the S and CL points a bright future, how could it not? Doesn't make sense at all for you to say otherwise. Consumer reaction to the S has been through the roof in all markets.

Pot meet kettle, kettle meet pot. You nor any other BMW fan has any room to talk about who thinks what brand is all that. This whole thing has been more like another sermon from the mount about how superior a BMW is, yet it isn't based on anything yet but "I say so" and the slightest edge is sporty driving...hardly any substance for most of the BS posted here today about BMW having it all over Mercedes.

Im just talking about the C class, and whether it has the ability to continue mercedes' trend of slow improvement. Ive already said the cold hard facts. In almost every category (that can be measured in numbers), the 335i wins by a landslide. You cant argue with numbers-dont even try. That was my point. Looks are subjective-quality is unknown without actually sitting in it and all those intangible aspects that we are supposedly hearing "rave" reviews about are impossible to measure. So with just tangible evidence (the stuff we know) the merc loses. And correct me if im wrong but the goal was to beat the 3 series right?

No one who's subscribed to this thread is making up excuses for the W204, but I sure do see a lot for the E90.
