The New GL-class.....Yes or No! I'm not really suppose to be here, but when a new Benz comes out it commands my attention. Anyhow, what are your thoughts on the new G-class? Is it a winner or a loser in your book? Did Mercedes-Benz do the right thing? Last edited by HighestOfHigh; 12-15-2005 at 10:59 AM..

Re: The New G-class.....Yes or No! Hey HOH! Personally, there are a few aspects I don't care for namely the ML interior. Other than that I think people in the States will eat it up.

Re: The New G-class.....Yes or No! Wohooo HOH is great. It's great to see you on board mate I voted for "It's okay". The design isn't ground breaking and the interior design could ahve been more distinctive but overall it's attractive long distance SUV. Hopefully the AMG version will appear on the next within the next 2 months.

Re: The New G-class.....Yes or No! Looks like every other similar sized SUV on the road so I checked the last choice on hte poll. It's a GL-class not G since it's not a replacement for the venerable old G-Wagen.

Re: The New G-class.....Yes or No! Hello HOH - It's Rnds here! Glad to see you're still around HOH - it's been quiet without you.I think the GL was intended to replace the G but DCX have decided to keep the old truck going while demand is still there for it. It reminds me a bit of when Nikon brought out there F4 SLR camera in 1989, they continued to produce it's predecessor, the F3, which was launched in 1980 - and even after the F4 was replaced by the F5, strong demand for the F3 kept it in production up until only a couple of years ago. Nikon F3 (this is F3T model, made from titanium) Anybody who knows a bit about 35mm photographic equipment considers it a true classic - just like the G class - demand for it kept it in production, even when it was a technical dinosaur. ![]() Last edited by SDNR; 12-11-2005 at 04:05 PM..
