Are they using a whole Benz chassis or just the engine/trans? I thought I'd read somewhere before that this car can't be sold in Europe or something like that, only in their home market? M |

This is the $h!t: SsangYong Chairman W Announced It uses a whole Benz platform, a W124 chassis under license from Mercedes to be precise, and Benz motor/gearboxes. It was only allowed on local markets not ot compete with the Mercedes. Seems this has changed. Unless they go bankrupt I want to see them gain more money so that they can hire proper designers and engineers. But I still don't want to see their cars on the road. |

I'd like to drive one and see if the W124 magic is still there. The W124 chassis with the current old SOHC, 3-valve V8 and the 7G-Tronic, sounds interesting to me. Yeah it looks like re-fried crap, but still. M |
