60000€? Somehow I don't believe that but if it's true I guess that VAG are heavily gouging customers trying get back some of the R&D money they spent on the car.

Re: Switching tyres on your veyron

Wow...That's way too much for some damn tires. There's probably a fudge up in there somewhere.

I would estimate: 6-8k for tires and 12-15k for rims. All together it would be 18-22k max for both rims and tires. But why the hell is the guy getting new rims?

Re: Switching tyres on your veyron

I know rims can get crazy expensive. We have Maybachs come into the shop with rims that cost $8000 a piece. One tech hit a pot hole on a test drive, bent two of the rims.

Re: Switching tyres on your veyron

I actually believe it. The tires on the Veyron are extremely bespoke, probably only meant just for the Veyron considering the forces those things are tailored for. I can't imagine Michelin or who ever makes the tires for the Veyron get a lot of orders either...

Re: Switching tyres on your veyron

Thats true..

FYI every 10,000 KM you have to change the tyres those Michelin tyres dont last long...

you have to change the tyres 3 times....and if you change the tyres for the fourth time you have to get a new set of rims and tyres..

Its related to the safety issues...

How can the wheel of the Maybach be so expensive? I know they have to extra strong to handle the weight of the car, but at $8000 a piece? They look like normal MB wheels but a bit tougher, it did deform after hitting a pot hole though.
