Any Aviation Enthusiasts Here?

I'm a big World War II aircraft fan, so I was in heaven when IL-2 Sturmovik came out.

This game has been voted as one of the most detailed and realistic flight sims. Various suriviving World War II pilots from all sides have praised the game for its feel.

Any flyers here? I highly recommend it if you're a World War II aircraft enthusiast.

Here are some screenshots I took. It's a combination of IL-2 Sturmovik Forgotten Battles & Ace Expansion Pack as well as Pacific Fighters: all from the same company.

A cool feature of the game is being able to use your face for a pilots. Look closely here, that's me.

Nice game! I guess you can learn a lot about these planes, huh Cristian? I like WW II planes but kinda don't have time and good sources. Gotta land some book on these things!

Cool!

I will check out that website later (my Internet is a bit slow right now). The game is not made by Microsoft but by Ubisoft: the same guys who are making Silent Hunter III.

Here's the Wikipedia article on this game.

You'll only enjoy it though if you like aircraft, especially World War II aircraft. Don't expect heat-seeking missiles of speeds above mach 1.

Great game indeed. It even has a little history lesson on each plane.

If you like WW2 aircraft, this is definitely the game to get. I've not heard such good things about Microsoft's "Combat Simulator".

Geesh! The last thing I need is to buy this game and get hooked. There goes my life again!
