Re: Civilization IV Er, I don't think it's out quite yet! I'm keen to get my hands on it, sooner or later though. It looks like the ultimate evolution - not so much in that it's the latest in the series, but that they have made efforts to rework the things that have merely been 'added to' in Civ2 and Civ3. I'm glad they have finally gone 3D, as well. Strategy games don't need 3D graphics as such, but it sure helps the immersion factor when your units are actual representations, and a city with 1 population is actually smaller than one with 28 pop.. I don't have a lot of time to play games these days, so I'm looking for stuff I can play on and off (I got Dungeon Siege 2 recently, haven't tried it out yet though) without being 'sucked in'. Then again, in the past I've played Civ overnight.. ![]()

Re: Civilization IV Its out in Oz next Thursday. But I have my university finals, so will be waiting till after that. Can't risk getting sucked into the game. They've gotten rid of allot of the annoying micro-management from the earlier Civs, so the gameplay should be much improved. ![]()

Re: Civilization IV Maybe I'll play out DS2 for a while. Yeah, don't get it now - it's the temptation, even if it's just sitting there on your desk ![]() I'm also keen on how they seem to have tried to make it more flexible - so you can have a fast paced game; and also more .. rounded, so that you can have the achievable prospect of winning by means other than military.
