Splinter Cell: Conviction

Conviction’s story kicks off a few years after the events of the last game. Sam’s no longer in the employ of Third Echelon, opting instead to spend his days as a reclusive mountain man of sorts. Naturally, he’s yanked out of his peaceful existence by the news that Anna Grimsdottir (fans of the series will instantly recognize that name) is in danger, but Sam quickly realizes that Third Echelon is tightly wrapped in bureaucratic red tape. Realizing that the only way to get anything done is to take matters into his own hands, Sam becomes a rogue agent, bringing the wrath of Third Echelon down on him.

Re: Splinter Cell: Conviction

I believe it is exclusive for the Xbox 360, since Billy boy bought the rights for this game.

The character animation system is supposed to be absolute sex, so I can't wait to see more...

Re: Splinter Cell: Conviction

I have no doubts this will be an awesome game and I very much look forward to playing it (and possibly buying it).

However I must express my concern on how the Splinter Cell franchise developed. I absolutely loved the first one - not only because it was a ground breaking (with the shadows engine and whatnot) but because it was a quality product. I've got to be honest, I felt a good deal of decline in overall quality with the later games (most through out the story lines).

I much prefered when Fisher was with TE.

BTW, Michael Ironside is awesome.

Well Bruce, Ubi Montreal made the original and chaos theory, whereas Ubi Shanghai made pandora and the latest, Double Agent. And as I am sure you can tell Shanghai sucks, luckily Montreal is making this one so it should be pretty sweet game, even if it is completely different from the others.

The graphics are insanely good - looks like I've been absent from the gaming scene for far too long...

Ahh, yes. That's right. I did not know Montreal would be making this one.

Good news, thanks Jeff.
