It is starting to go off-topic!! But it's still a thread about the popes new Mercedes G-Class. And everyone was wondering, why it doesn't have a armoured glas dome like the cars before.
The G-Class reminds me of the old S 600 Pullmann (W140) the pope got years ago. It was also unguarded - but I've never seen him used this car - the ML 430 was his presentation car for the last years!

Yeah, I wondered too...this is strange indeed.
But to be honest, seeing the Pope in his glass box was strange too!

May he accepts the risk, to be near his beloved Christians. That would be really a proof of Faith, too.

And...the Popes are old men, so they move slowly, and it must not be difficult to shoot them if you really wanted to. Glass car or not, when he pray or go seeing the people, he is barely protected, only some bodyguards and the Switzerland Penguins...Barely annoying for a skilled hitman imo.
