THE VERDICT
2007 Volvo S80 AWD

Highs: V-8 snarl and power, AWD comes standard, thrones for seats, attractive (if familiar) interior and exterior design.

Lows: Lifeless handling, numb steering, silly safety features, high as-tested price, the personality of Wasa bread.

The Verdict: Safe and sound, yes, but dull as a Swedish winter

I think this is an awesome car for its price...

I like it too, but I don't expect C&D to fall down in love with it. Volvos are Sweedish Buicks in their book.

The verdict doesn't shock me. I drove the car last year and I feel the same as they do. The steering and the handling are a big let down especially when you can, in Sweden, get a 5er, A6 or E-klasse with just as much power for the same price as a V8 S80.
