Re: ROLLS-ROYCE Picture Thread Well I found the demensions for the Phantom Drophead Coupe, not sure if they're the same for the Coupe. Vehicle length - 5609 mm / 220.8 in Vehicle width - 1987 mm / 78.2 in Vehicle height(unladen) - 1581 mm / 62.2 in Wheelbase - 3320 mm / 130.7 in BTW, the Rolls-Royce site is incredible: - ONLY REGISTERED AND ACTIVATED USERS CAN SEE ALL LINKS - CLICK HERE TO REGISTER Edit for the Coupe: Compared to the Phantom, the 101EX has a 10-inch-shorter wheelbase and is 9.5 inches shorter overall, although we're still talking about an 18-foot-long car. The wheelbase for the Phantom is 3570 mm / 140.6 in, so figure on the 101EX having a 130.6 in or so wheelbase. M

Re: ROLLS-ROYCE Picture Thread Thanks, man! ![]() Just as i've thought and the advantage concerning design for Brooklands - it's wider and has lower roofline. Still, both are absolutely beautiful. The best of both worlds. ![]() ![]()

Re: ROLLS-ROYCE Picture Thread I wish I could help ....but these are the biggest I can find ......If I find larger ones I'll get back to you. ![]() I like the hardtop coupé better than the convertible -- I think the shape of the C pillar and the broader (thicker) brushed steel lower window sill make this car look very special. Here is not such a great quality picture ....but I think this is the vehicle's best angle. ![]()

Surprisingly I prefer the looks of the cabrio. I can't help but to think of the 101ex like as a two door sedan. Obviously the high and boxy roof shape is neccessary in order to make the back seat fully usable, after all Phantom is a passanger car. The shape of the roof does have a negative impact of the visual appearence of the car, it doesn't looks fast as sleek as most coupes. Coupes are meant to be driven but the 101ex is some what different. It a passanger orientated two door car. Kind of an oxymoron. Here's a picture of the Brooklands to show you show what I'm talking about. ![]() | |

Re: ROLLS-ROYCE Picture Thread ^^ I know exactly what you are saying Luw ....and I would totally agree if it wasn't for one thing: This is a Rolls-Royce. The formal, upright appearance is entirely appropriate for the character of this car; this is not a sporty car after all -- it is essentially a two-door limousine.

Re: ROLLS-ROYCE Picture Thread ^^ The strange thing about the 101EX is, ironically perhaps, it reminds me of this old classic Bentley from the 1950s more than any Rolls-Royce. Bentley S1 Park Ward Coupé ![]()
